Grammer seats and accessories at bauma 2022: maximum safety and greater comfort for construction machinery

Grammer presents its range of seats at bauma, the world's largest construction machinery trade fair, in Munich, Germany.

ErgoPlus from Grammer: The world's first six-way adjustable control pod holder for maximum operational ergonomics

Always the perfect solution: Flexible seat combinations with upgrades for greater ergonomics, safety, comfort and sustainability

As one of the world's leading OEM and aftermarket seat manufacturers, Grammer has of course presented an insight into its new construction machinery products.

True to the motto "the team is the star", attention it will not be on individual stations, but on various combinations of stations and updates that provide the right solution for each application.

"Safe, comfortable and sustainable - these are the hallmarks of all our construction machinery products," says Dr. Andreas Diehl, President of the Commercial Vehicle Division, Grammer AG. “Professionals do important day-to-day work on construction sites around the world. And we want to help them by giving them the opportunity to structure their workplace independently. No matter if it's the first six-way adjustable control pod holder on the market for maximum ergonomics, signal-colored belts, Haptic Warning for added safety, headrest speakers or new upholstery options, our employees are always committed to constantly improve the seats of construction machinery. "

Maximum ergonomics and maximum safety

Among other things, the seats of the MSG97, MSG285 and MSG75 series has been exhibited at Stand 349 of the Munich exhibition center. However, the focus its been on Grammer's "modular principle". A short or long back combined with various upgrade options, OEM and aftermarket customers can put together the seat that perfectly meets their needs.

A Grammer exclusive is the world's first six-way adjustable control pod holder: in addition to length and tilt, the new ErgoPlus system can also be adjusted in height. In this way, it offers a great advantage in terms of ergonomics and makes an important contribution to a healthy and low-fatigue workplace in construction machines with joystick controls.

The orange seat belts fitted to all the seats displayed at the stand also attract attention. Grammer is using them to support "Wann schnallst du's?" of the industrial compensation company BG BAU ("When will you know you have to fasten your seat belts?"). The message is clear: Many accidents involving construction machinery result in serious or fatal injuries because machine operators fail to fasten their seat belts and are injured when vehicles roll over.

The color of the sign not only underlines the importance of wearing seat belts in construction machinery, but also allows supervisors to see more clearly from a distance whether their employees have fastened their seat belts.

Grammer innovations that create the ideal workplace

The other highlights of the Grammer booth not only support safety, but also improve comfort in construction machinery:

• Haptic warning by means of two vibration motors integrated into the seat surface. They can be activated individually or together and controlled by various vehicle sensors / alarm systems.

• Speakers on the headrest for outputting safety-related audio signals and for communicating with others on site.

• The water-repellent covers are particularly easy to clean and regulate the temperature for maximum comfort.

• Olive green leather: environmentally friendly, as natural olive-based tanning agents are used instead of chemical ones.
