As many transport companies embrace electric mobility, the need for a variety of bus models is also growing. Konvekta's CO₂ heat pump for double-decker buses draws energy neither from fuels nor directly from electricity, but uses the heat present in the air.
This way, even with a minimal amount of energy supplied, efficiency is multiplied, while ensuring high standards of climate comfort. To generate 100% of the required heat, the CO₂ heat pump for double-decker buses requires only a third of the electrical energy drawn from the battery. This means that, by exploiting natural resources, energy savings of two-thirds of the usual requirement are achieved compared to traditional electric heating systems.
